do i need to do any setting on sata bootable internal drive to change it to external portable drive?
i have a sata bootable harddrive taken from my now defunct desktop… can i convert it to an external portable harddrive?
search for answers & mostly said yes… by using the external casing that can be connected using usb or firewire.
my concern is… do i need to do any settings since its a bootable drive??? or does it automatically act as a portable harddrive once i pop it into the casing???
thanks…
You don’t need to change a thing. If you really want to do it right, use eSATA, absolutely no loss in performance that way, even though personally I am a fan of firewire.
